Vessel

Designed by awarded architect Thomas Heatherwick, The Vessel is considered to be a piece of interactive artwork – a mix between a sculpture and building.  It is a massive 15-story staircase with 2,500 steps and 80 different landings.  The goal of the Vessel was to bring a bold design to a public space in order to bring people together in ways that otherwise would not be happening.  Some people believe it will become the Eiffel Tower of NYC.
